How our artwork is made

The artwork in our coloring books is created with AI image tools. Each coloring book's page on this site says so, and this page sets out how the work is shared between the tools and us.

Which books this covers

This page is about our coloring books. Our puzzle books are made differently: their puzzles are made and checked by our own software, and their covers are typographic.

What the AI tools do

They create the images: the designs you color in each coloring book.

What we do

• We plan every book: its subject, what each design shows and the order of the pages.
• We create candidate images and choose the designs that go into the book.
• We look at every design at full size and send back any with faults we can see.
• Before we describe a book, we measure it from the file that goes to the printer, and we count the pieces to color on each page.
• All the wording on this site and in our Amazon listings is our responsibility, and we check every statement of fact in it against those measurements.

When something slips through

Generated images can contain faults that get past us. When we fix a design after a book is published, we upload a corrected file, so later copies carry the fix.
